Citizenship

Foreign spouses of Lebanese citizens may apply to acquire Lebanese citizenship through the Embassy.

1. Original Family Registration Certificate of the Lebanese husband.
2. Original marriage certificate.
3. One photocopy of the wife's valid passport.
4. Original birth certificate of the wife, certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of her home country, with one photocopy.
5. One photocopy of a valid residence permit or entry visa.
6. Personal appearance of both the husband and wife at the Embassy.
7. Any additional documents considered necessary by the Embassy.

Applications are forwarded to the competent Lebanese authorities after all required documents have been submitted.
Processing times vary depending on the nature of the application and the review by the competent authorities.

1. Prepare all required documents.
2. Pay the applicable fee by bank transfer.
3. Both the husband and wife must appear in person at the Embassy.
4. Submit the application and supporting documents.
5. Provide any additional documents if requested during the processing of your application.

All applications are subject to approval by the competent Lebanese authorities.
Submission of an application does not guarantee the acquisition of Lebanese citizenship.
