In order to legalize any document, it must first be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where it was issued, and then sent to the Embassy along with the following documents:
- A copy of the entire document
- A copy of the passport or ID card of the concerned person
- A copy of the payment receipt according to the applicable fees
- An envelope with postage stamps affixed, bearing the name, address, and phone number of the concerned person for returning the processed documents
- A commercial invoice cannot be legalized unless it is accompanied by a certificate of origin.
- A certificate of origin cannot be authenticated unless it is accompanied by a commercial invoice.
- If the certificate of origin is included within the commercial invoice, two fees will be charged: one for the authentication of the invoice and another for the authentication of the certificate of origin.
- For the authentication of a commercial invoice, a proportional fee of 1‰ (one per thousand) is charged, with a minimum of 450 SEK and a maximum of 31,250 SEK.
